I shall explain what this machine does, if you ever cared, or didn't know and maybe do.
It costs about 300 dollars to build. It plugs into any usb port, so a laptop can sit anywhere, anywhere in the world, and the imsi (international mobile subscriber identity)is busy working. It receives signals from smart phones, and your phone thinks it's hit a mobile tower, but it hasn't. Its hit a phoney tower called IMSI. Then ss7(signalling system 7) is used. This is the transport mechanism. That's what's anyone can use to access your banks pin and use it before you even get a chance. Forget card skimming, that's old already.

So what's this mean?

It means all of us that are using smart phones are easy targets. We can be traced without tracing apps installed on our phones. Our phone calls can be listened in on from anywhere in the world, we can be traced to our door step, our sms are visible, our banking details are visible and accessible. The list goes on. As long as you're online, on your phone, your a target.

So how many are out there using this technology?

The government are, fact. All governments are. Angela Merkel had her phone tapped recently by it and it's been made public. She's not the only one no doubt. I don't care to much if governments have this, it's the bad guys I worry about.

An imsi detecting device can be installed on a smart phone. It tells you when it detects a corrupted tower via sms. A guy drove around Sydney Australia not long ago and detected 15 imsi devices trying to hack his phone. One imsi was situated nearby the Australian stock exchange, central Sydney.
