I have a fear of the unknown, of not knowing what to do, what will happen - not so much in the case of bizarre and extreme situations, but in situations where I should know.
For example, i delayed doing my laundry for two weeks when I moved to a new country, because I did not know where the washing machines were, what change I needed, etc. etc. And when I finally got round to it, it was far worse than I could possibly have imagined. But I just had to climb over each hurdle and wade through each ditch and what I had anticipated as 40 minutes of baffling uncertainty turned out to be merely two hours of frustrating inconvenience.
Anyway, the recommendation is "JFD" Just <duck>ing doit.
