Toronto - Hong Kong nonstop before the polar route was 16 hours and 45 minutes now it's a mere 15 hours and 25 minutes.
The most painful used to be when Thai Airways flew to Toronto in the early 90's, first stop Seattle then Taipei finally Bangkok I recall 28 hours with connections and that was before flatbeds in those awful cradle seats - oh wait they still have those seats 555555

I think I might prefer non-stop straight threw than two stopovers!
Boorish and inconvenient.

Worse than the herringbone are those coffin style seats on Etihad, lovely food, drink and lounges but that seat freaks me out. Have you tried (British Airways) where the seat faces the back ?

I see they run a small Airbus a320 ? From Doha to London in an all business class config 50 seats or something and it's a 2x2 configuration, only drawback is access to the aisle if you are in the window seat or someone climbing over you. Anyone tried it ?

Australia to Singapore. 6 hours and 30 minutes. I'm not well travelled. Not even enough time to have a real drink.

That's a relief compared to many long-haul.

Tried air Asia once, they make it feel long haul. Never again.
