In case anyone here is into their scuba diving, I thought I'd post these 2 unique fresh water dive locations on the Limestone Coast, near Mount Gambier in South Australia. They are truly beautiful places to visit, although they look like duck ponds from the top.
The names of them are Ewans Ponds which consists of 3 large ponds, and Picanninie Ponds, which have the main underwater caves. They are maybe 20km from each other.
The water is fresh, and is filtered through kilometres of limestone creating the most beautiful clear water. Depths of the ponds is up to 110 metres deep, and contain caves for the cave divers. I've only snorkelled in it, Im not a diver.
Btw, they are free to dive in, or snorkel, but they are national parks.
Enjoy!

Thought I'd add a little more. Here is another pic of this part of the world that due to the limestone walls, creates a truly beautiful freshwater lake known as the Blue Lake. The pic attached has not been photoshopped, it really is this blue, and in fact it changes colour throughout the day to give off different shades of blue. Not bad huh!
