Today we have a lovely Coopers Pale Ale from Australia. Now this is a family owned brewery since 1800 and something. This style of ale is bottle fermented, for those who don't know what that is, they add sugar to the empty bottle before filling it to give it a second fermentation in the bottle...as beer should be done imo. Its a cloudy ale, which adds to the delicious flavour of the ale, something beer drinkers from the UK would be familiar with. Taste is like banana bread, sweet, malty with banana tones throughout. This green label ale is 4.5% alcohol, but they also do a red label ale which is stronger yet equally delicious. Coopers beers are available in Thailand now, not everywhere but Bangkok certainly sell it in certain supermarkets so if you see it, do yourself a favour and grab a bottle or 2 to try. ....you will not be disappointed folks! Hippity scores this beer 9/10 . Cheers!

And as a special treat for all you lovely viewers, and even more special for me, here is the red label Coopers Sparkling Ale! 5.8% alcohol and simply superb. Taste wise the difference is there from the green label. Obviously a warmer alcohol taste, but also a hint of peaches in there...no I'm not joking. I'll give this little ripper 9.5/10 but that's on a cold winters night. Not so much of a hot summers beer honestly, but the green label takes care of that. And on a final note, Coopers beers have a best after date rather than a best before date.

Actually not really a novelty as such, quite common with ales. And I've seen that other guys reviews, Seems he's no longer doing them and any decent forum needs a beer reviewer so may as well be me.

Attachment DeletedFound this in Villa, years since I have tasted it. Could not resist, 160 Baht for a small bottle. This called for chef Champ to create my favourite dish, beef, with coriander, mushrooms and oyster sauce. Wonderful, the beer full of British flavour, malty. For those that worry about alcohol content, this is 4.8% and superior to any Thai brew. At that price though I will not be a regular consumer!
