I've developed this bizarre addiction to flat caps, perhaps a sign of getting on in years. Now non-fruitloops would just have the one, but no, I have collected four so far this year. A couple of Stetson Ivy caps and a tweedy woolly thing and another . . . Anyone else collect pointless crap? If so, what?

Recycling is commendable, Sir!
Save the planet and all that.

I collect higher quality body fat (e.g., bread from Paul; frequent wine-soaked lunches at Pala): true, it's more expensive, but the pleasure is sublime. Of course, there's the problem here of finding trousers with expandable waists.

I always pack a lot of large pants, like loads of large pants, like at least two dozen large pants. An entire holdall full of big pants.

I always pack a lot of large pants, like loads of large pants, like at least two dozen large pants. An entire holdall full of big pants. A good strategy if you're planning an expansion. However, every 1 Jan I put in place a new and updated plan for weight loss, self-control and a minimum of self-indulgence. Still, my collection has improved in both quantity and quality. The answer, of course is will power and, as suggested by another poster, relative sanity.

The useless stuff I collect - shaving brushes - coins - old paper money - stamps on occasion - hotel ashtrays
My greatest collection - port wine, I've got hundreds of bottles, sad part is my collection is thousands of miles away

^^^^^, years ago on another contract I used to live in a hotel.
We were at the airport one night waiting for a flight back to the UK, bags were scanned, one of the guys got picked up and turned bright red, its alright on you guys go he said, dont worry I will be ok.
Worst thing he could have said, it only piqued our curiosity.
As the suitcase was going through the security scanner the operator couldnt see anything, so wanted the suitcase opened as it weighed 30 kilos.
Turned out this guy had a suitcase full of soap and toilet rolls he was taking back to the UK, I have met some cheapos in my life, he took the biscuit.

Sometimes I wish that I could give more than one like per post.
Any more (great) posts like that and I may have to make a sacrificial offering of Krusty Bottom Rammer.
