For starters some Aussie munthole singing karaoke in Thai abysmally, then asks me to join him in a song which was 'Don't Cry' by GnR which he thought I'd lower myself to the munthole.....(Sorry for the lingo)

If it bothered you that much, why didn't you just belt him one, instead of bothering us with your foul obscenities?
Perhaps the thread would have been better titled "pointless rant with foul obscenities"

You should have recorded his version, so we could have listened to it It was all too hideous for words, MrT, especially the Thai song he did with his missus which even included a silly little Luk Thung style dance and way too many ''Broooooooops'' (when one imagines he'd forgot the words) The whole thing was rather like a precocious kid at a birthday party doing his party piece. Over rehearsed and probably something he dies at every Thai bar he goes to even the locals at the bar seemed singularly unimpressed which would suggest they've seen it a few too many times now for their liking..... I like this forum and wouldn't want to pollute it so..... |

All forms of "karaoke" should be banned, all over the world, as is the law under my roof. A most hideous form of torture if there ever was one.
Same with line dancers, they should all be banned as well.
(Funnily enough Isaan music does not bother me at all.)
My first post on this new forum and I am calling for blood already, oh dear.................
