My musical tastes are pretty diverse (and perhaps weird). I've been to quite a few classical concerts in Bangkok, but only one performance by something more popular, namely Green Day at Muang Thong Thani. I'm not particularly interested in the third rate, talentless acts that visit Bangkok. (One Direction, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, I'm thinking of you.)
I was therefore wondering who you'd like to see here and would be happy to pay big bucks for. My top four:
- Leonard Cohen - Pink Floyd - Mumford and Sons - Green Day (again).
Who would you like to see here?

Will Leonard Cohen ever tour again, thought he only toured the lasted time to top up the pension fund after being ripped off, but yes I would pay to see him.
Pink Floyd, doubt they will ever tour again with or without Roger Waters.
M & sons, never heard of them.
Green day, no chance of me paying good money to see them.
The Flaming Lips yes I would pay to see.
Most of the arists/bands I like are either dead, broke up or way past their sell by date.

I've tickets for Simple Minds later this year, and I think The Proclaimers too. In BKK -
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Coldplay
Calvin Harris
Beyonce
Weird mix, I know - but hey, there you go.
The only one I could see playing BKK would be Calvin Harris.

Pink Floyd AC/DC Stones Any of the "classic" Bluesmen still alive Madness would be kinda fun The Who (What's left of them) Seen Clapton the last time round in BKK, the time before he cancelled the last show, the sound in venue was a bit naff, but not a bad concert, even my Mrs enjoyed it, I think, went with a few colleagues and their wives, so she had someone to natter to, but don't think she really recognised who Clapton was till a few weeks later when he was UBC playing "Tears in Heaven" from "Unplugged" and the penny dropped, then the question came why didn't he play that as she really likes that song and had to explain her why he doesn't play it any more and the story behind it. I would love to take her to an AC/DC concert...100-150 thousand people, expect she would shit herself ...

A couple would have to fight it out for the pin cushion award. I'd be amazed if Victoria Beckham ever agreed to a tour - her man is due to be the highest paid ex-sportsman in the world this year ( over $100 million I hear ) - and her son, Brooklyn, has a modelling career. I could see the Beckham family being billionaires one of these days.

The acoustics of that place remind me of an aircraft hangar, never heard a decent concert there. Must be about time for another rock dinosaur tour, Scorpions, Santana or Clapton, no thanks will give them a miss.
