Taken from an article about Prayuth in The Telegraph - www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/thailand/11877254/Thailands-military-ruler-is-frustrated-by-the-niceties-of-free-speech.html"I returned to Bangkok regularly after I last lived here in 1996, and on each visit a new glitzy shopping mall seemed to have sprung up. And not only that, they were always packed. Thai malls seemed to defy any retail trends. Until, that is, the construction of a cavernous futuristic extravagance called Central Embassy, which resembles nothing less than a spaceship plopped down in the middle of the city. The mall sits on four acres of former British embassy grounds that the Foreign Office sold in 2006 for £50 million – the most expensive piece of land in Bangkok history. But this £360 million mall, which opened to great fanfare a few months ago, is almost deserted even at peak shopping times. Indeed, Bangkokians have nicknamed it Central Empty. The ultra high-end stores, with their Madison Avenue-style products and prices, are not attracting passing foot traffic. It lacks good people-watching hang-outs – an Asian mall must. And there are also mutterings of discontent about the food court, a big no-no." Has anybody been to it?

The toilets are not as plush as Terminal 21. Gaysorn has a champagne bar....so its a nice shortcut to that.....nothing else to see here .
