Some of you may have missed that this week is "Banned Books Week". It the week we read the books which were banned before for whatever reason. The titles are interesting. Some I never heard of before (my bad, sorry), some titles are still either blanked out or missing. As for 'banning books is a thing of the past', well dream on. Here in Thailand the list is getting longer and even in the Land of the Free (a former English colony) the activists are still at it. Probably the descendants of the Pilgrim Fathers, those who wanted to believe without others telling them what and how to believe. www.bannedbooksweek.org

I know a CF writer and even she, who is as buttoned up as you can get, sometimes struggles to understand how eaily people take offence. These people are the ban everything brigade.

Although not literature per se, i grew up in a country where Pink Floyd The wall was banned for many years, along with Chris De Burghs "Spanish Train"

Eff me its unlistenable, poxy 80s drum machine. Poxy Rafael Benitez style singing, some poxy Spanish/Turkish waiter, . Warning, I dont usually post such crap.
