Some politicians are born lucky - British PM David Cameron is one of them. Every time something comes along to possibly derail him, the Labour Party implodes by electing IRA supporting peaceniks like Jeremy Corbyn. Every time that guy opens his mouth it's worth another ten thousand middle England votes to the Tories. He will be crushed. Obama is just as lucky - looking for a way out of the Middle East imbroglio, here rides in Space Cowboy Putin - prepared to put Russian boots on the ground. Hilarious to read yesterday that we in the West are "weak in the eyes of Putin." Uhuhu - the way I read it, Putin has backed himself into a corner. He cannot afford to lose Assad now - and that's going to cost a whole lot of Russian lives - and in the end up? He'll gain nothing, except a legion of suicide bombers targeting Russian assets. Not very clever, Mr Putin. Not very clever at all.

Not very clever, Mr Putin. Not very clever at all. First half agree with. Second half, well played Vlad, a blinder, the West didnt see that coming. Be prepared to redraw the ME map, the Saudis/Turks and thier vassal states must be shitting themselves, Shias on the march. Iranians, Iraqi Shias pulled in as boots on the ground, supported by The Russain Bears airpower, meanwhile back in jolly old blighty, they havent even had a Commons discussion on the use of drones in Syria. Uncle Sam got a bloody nose in Libya and has no intention of being drawn in, and if truth be told, why should he. Mafi Musqula, the odious Al Sauds have propably got their air force on standby to fly them into the Bush ranch in Texas. Thrown into the mix, Yemen, Uncle Sam supplies arms etc for the Saudis to bomb innocent civilians. Afghanistan, see MSF for details. Vlad learned from Afghanistan years ago, has the West?

If Vlad had truly learned they would have left it to the US. To me, the only reason why the Russians are in is that they can see Assad being beaten soon. They'll soon regret re-engaging with the Muslim world - especially when every "terror," or "rebel," group in the area decides that they are the common enemy.
