A blether emulation? Both of you need more punch in writing style. Grab the audience. I'm no critic but the first sentence in itself is boring. It's like a rant in a pub. Do it quirky, upbeat, intelligence with a twist. The Blether was being annoying, more so than usual. To some, that was an impossibility, the mere fact that he drew breath drove them to a rage. However, others could sense the fine nuance as The Blether stepped up to his calling. It was he, much to the chagrin of many, who wrote the best seller, "How To Be An Annoying Bastard," with the tag line "Annoying Bastardology for the Digital Generation." That book earned him enough to travel business class to Thailand, twice. Now, that is annoying.

Literary snobs can't handle the proles earning more than they. Pitiful.

Dear Blether, I cannot , could not write a novel.
Mostly I hate reading them.
There it is , hundreds of pages to get to the point.
OK if you are bored. !!!!!
I try to write poetry, for myself, not for money, not for anything.
I cannot paint, otherwise I would do that.
I take photographs, I do not know why!!!!!
I just exist!!!!!!!!

^^ I have no bone to pick with you as far as writing for yourself is concerned. I applaud it.
Our contention is that you stated "no writer ever write for money."
I think you can see the absurdity in that statement now.
As for writing novels? it's not easy, it's a skill that is beyond me at the moment - that's why I get help from professionals.
That's why I pay for content editing, that's why I pay for editing, that's why I pay for proof reading, and it's also why I ask people to give me feedback before release.
Am I a great writer? no - and I'll never pretend to be. I'm an enthusiastic amatuer that has lucked out by earning decent money from my hobby.
Good for me.
What's also good for me is that I know I don't need to conform to the views of the deluded.

Dickens did, but he had an agenda , what that was you can decide!!!!!

Until I can write as this; which will be never!!!!!
To see a World in a Grain of Sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower, Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an hour.
A Robin Redbreast in a Cage Puts all Heaven in a Rage. A dove house fill’d with doves and pigeons Shudders Hell thro’ all its regions. A Dog starv’d at his Master’s Gate Predicts the ruin of the State. A Horse misus’d upon the Road Calls to Heaven for Human blood. Each outcry of the hunted Hare A fiber from the Brain does tear.
He who shall train the Horse to War Shall never pass the Polar Bar. The Beggar’s Dog and Widow’s Cat, Feed them and thou wilt grow fat. The Gnat that sings his Summer song Poison gets from Slander’s tongue. The poison of the Snake and Newt Is the sweat of Envy’s Foot.
A truth that’s told with bad intent Beats all the Lies you can invent. It is right it should be so; Man was made for Joy and Woe; And when this we rightly know Thro’ the World we safely go.
Every Night and every Morn Some to Misery are Born. Every Morn and every Night Some are Born to sweet delight. Some are Born to sweet delight, Some are Born to Endless Night.

In Xanadu did Kubla Khan A stately pleasure-dome decree: Where Alph, the sacred river, ran Through caverns measureless to man Down to a sunless sea. So twice five miles of fertile ground With walls and towers were girdled round; And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills, Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree; And here were forests ancient as the hills, Enfolding sunny spots of greenery.

"Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again"
One of the best opening lines in a novel.

Are you testing me?
Coleridge.
Now back to Blake.
Join me naked on the bough of a tree, let us be Adam and Eve without sin.
No that was me!

Kipling is indeed a literary giant whose writings and social comments concerning the time and the places he lived are very informative and enjoyable.. I must confess though when I am immersed in the works and words of Kipling I do rather enjoy a nibble at his culinary arts too!

^^^^, He did indeed make exceedingly good cakes. The Man Who Would Be King, a KLASSIC. Hilarious, anyone who has spent any time in this part of the world will indentify straight away, .
