Don't believe everything you read on the web or in newspapers. It's a conspiracy to hide the truth . They'll be telling us next there's no Easter Bunny or Father Christmas. You have to laugh though. then again these are the same people that need labels on food saying: "Nuts: Warning this product may contain nuts." "Hot Coffee: Warning this drink may be hot"

We all know that the moon is made of ''green cheese'' don't we. Correct but moon cheese (apparently) tastes of a cross between Wensleydale, Stilton and Camembert.

Back when 'War of the Worlds' was hot, my mum told me that people actually believed it. I still have the vinyl LP somewhere. Great tunes. That was before that horrible movie with the Tom.

Brilliant stuff. Mum wasn't born then but lots of recordings around. People actually committing suicide, not far off from when there was that scare about a comet hitting earth.

Many years ago when I was serving in the military in Berlin (during the cold war) we used to have a call out system (called a Rocking Horse), which was practiced on on many occasions. When a Rocking Horse is called then you have 2 hours to be kitted up and ready to move, a rocking horse was usually a prelude to a Brigade scale military exercise. However, we always knew when a Rocking Horse was about to be called as the local newspaper (The Berliner Morganpost) had to inform the local populace that the exercise would be called, as 2 local people committed suicide the first time that the siren was ever sounded, as they thought that the Russians were actually attacking.
