"The child is father to the man." Wordsworth.
You can pretend, act, do whatever , but you will be outed.
I try, yes try, to make no pretensions.
I may be a fool to some, a faggot, a kite flier (W..ker if you do not know Thai idioms) or a pratt, mad.
All are true , depending on who you are.
I know how ( well I think I do, how my wife regards me.) Even surer how my son accepts me.
A life can be a long time. Mine has been, many phases, no way can I write about that in a chat forum, or in a book.
Snippets maybe, observations, but nothing of substance.
I have a childhood friend, my lawyer, a barrister; he has the yet unfinished trash , with explicit instructions never to be published while I am alive.
I guess if he dies before me the world will not have lost much.
As soon as one writes, even a comment on a blog, you reveal something of your real self.
When teaching young children, already one knows who they are. One must be tactful and treat all equally, but there are traits you like or dislike.
That is life, it applies to everyone.
We like to pigeon hole people, makes everything so much simpler.
The truth is we do not know anyone but ourself, and then only superficially from the mirror of contact.

Just felt like listening.
I think it might be imperialism or something!

We are all beasts of burden, and plough our own lonely furrow.

As I age, I find myself more drawn to The Man In Black. Daddy was a JC fan, so I grew up listening to him. Saw him live at the Deutschlandhalle, Berlin in 1980 (or 1981, can't remember the year as too much ale has flowed since). It was at the time that he was making another comeback after just beating his drug demon. Great concert by JC, June Carter and the rest of his family. However, his son John Carter Cash (who was around 10yo at that time) sang 'The Battle of New Orleans' and absolutely wrecked the song.

We in truth cannot and are unable to see our true selves. Animals, cats epecially and children can read our true selves (characters)

Be true to yourself always. Good words to live by that. Hang in buhi. Don't worry too much about judgemental fools who don't get it. If you get it is all that matters. I don't give a toss about what people think, only the ones important to me. Let them think. Let them comment. Who cares?
Too many apologists with big heads on a mission to conform the masses of what's acceptable. Since when has it been okay for anyone to appoint themselves as the moral compass and start firing shots.
