I'm having second thoughts about finalizing our tickets leaving on this date with that airline.
No I'm not really superstitious, but jeez.
Would you fly them on that date?

It's just a date, don't worry about it. Here number four is bad luck as the character and pronunciation means death. Many older buildings don't have a fourth floor. Anything with a '4' in it is considered highly unlucky, if you believe in such stuff.

Yes and i have many times....given the Friday the 13th thing comes from the time when the french king rounded up and started executing all the Templars in Franch cos he couldnt pay the money he owed them....so unless your a Templar no worries but lets look at the Malaysian air thing....
Risk = Probability X Consequence, the consequnce in this case if defined.... you die, but the probability of another Malaysian flight going down after whats happened over the last few years is highly improbable

Well if your time is up its up. Don't worry about it, go fly hippity. If other people think it is unlucky it is lucky for you as the adaptive fare will be cheaper.

It's not so much the date it's the airline, don't worry about it, I've been on them plenty of times as well as Air Asia since those two incidents. Carry on, always.

Best airline I was ever on was Qatar Air from Doha to HK. Many times. Free flow of anything that's going, a few years ago it was my birthday and I was upgraded to the 'first class' which was cool as I never buy into that, cattle class is good enough for me.
Anyway, as my eldest was with me and it was his birthday too he got to sit with the pilots in the cockpit. Awesome stuff. I've never been in a cockpit. The lights, the ascent was just a once in a lifetime thing. Then we swung to the left and went through the clouds over Manama over the Gulf. That experience was something else. All in the cockpit really mesmerizing.
