Qatar also has these little bags of nuts they hand out, some Indian mix with peas, little crackers, peanuts. My boy loved them so there was no problem him getting a handful of them. Besides the blankets  . Nice crew, great line, I'd fly with them anytime. |

Best airline I was ever on was Qatar Air from Doha to HK. Many times. Free flow of anything that's going, a few years ago it was my birthday and I was upgraded to the 'first class' which was cool as I never buy into that, cattle class is good enough for me. Anyway, as my eldest was with me and it was his birthday too he got to sit with the pilots in the cockpit. Awesome stuff. I've never been in a cockpit. The lights, the ascent was just a once in a lifetime thing. Then we swung to the left and went through the clouds over Manama over the Gulf. That experience was something else. All in the cockpit really mesmerizing. I am on Qatar next month again....BKK to SA its a great trip....best airline currently IMHO Yes Qatar....even the old terminal at Doha was superb...those jets in the shower....champagne all over the place...mmmmm |

Doha is a really small shitty airport. Unless things have changed.
You need a visa on entry or pay 50 for one and buy the card to buy it unless you have Qatari ryalhs. My worst was arriving there from Bahrain with about five other planefulls of drunked up Arabs and westerners in the middle of he night.

Doha is a really small shitty airport. Unless things have changed. You need a visa on entry or pay 50 for one and buy the card to buy it unless you have Qatari ryalhs. My worst was arriving there from Bahrain with about five other planefulls of drunked up Arabs and westerners in the middle of he night. The biz class lounge was in a separate terminal....pure luxury! |

Things have changed, no visa needed...the business lounge is superb, a bit too big and fancy for me but impressive none the less |
