Ye gods arrived back to work today after a months holiday and chaos reigns supreme. I.T, department have tinkered with the system, not a wise move, can't find anything where it should be.
Now putting on shouting screaming head to terrify any basket who may cross my path this day.

As long as they haven't tinkered with the system that sends your paycheck go with the flow. If you cannot find it it probably was not that important anyway.

Money will come when money comes I have no worries in that department, the boss is paid via the system and nobody will upset her.
However on the bright side the I.T guy popped after being ''summoned'' and has done some finger pointing and keyboard tapping and other assorted wizardry and all now seems to be normal, or what passes for normal in our madhouse.
There has been a wonderful bonus too in the fact that an employee I wanted to remove has now been slid into a sideways ''promotion'' and he's already bitching, reckon the useless idiot that he is will depart very soon if that message fails all is not lost as he will not be getting a contract renewal anyway.

For many systems I have 'root' or 'superuser' privileges. when looking into problems a customer is having while his/her customers are queued up and waiting I try not to make (too many) typing errors. In a UNIX like environment freeing space with "cd /; rm -rf .* *" is very efficient

This being Thailand shouldn't that be 'promoted to an inactive position' or something like that ?
