Scree running - what a sport. I'm booked in to The Drovers Inn for a night this month - great pub on the West Highland Way - do you know it, OL? Aye the drovers, was it not run by the same mob as had the uisge bha on woodlands road ? Very atmospheric.Brilliant pub if there is a session on. I'm booking it for my 50th birthday party - around thirty of us going and spending the night - live music, Saturday night, Easter Saturday - it should be an excellent night. And no worries about having to get a taxi home - perfect. |

And no worries about having to get a taxi home - perfect. Is Jim Dick still running the place? Donno - it's a place I call into when I'm in the area, not familiar with the management. I'll be talking to them over the next few days to arrange the accom for the party, I'll ask them and get back to you. I remember a few years ago, when it was real old school, it was covered with cobwebs and dust over the stuffed animals - all in the spirit of the old inn look. Environmental health went in and told them they were taking it a bit too far  . So a wee clean up was ordered - and that was fine. Coal fire, excellent food, table service, entertainment, and a room to crash out in - magic place. |

I like a Chang but my favourite is either a Bombay Gin and Tonic or Regency mixed with coke. Both nice drinks in this heat.

I am partial to white russions, pimms or gin on a hot day. Most cocktails if the mixologist doesn't skimp on the spirits. Grey Goose is delightful, as is a Bangkok Blonde-very refreshing.
