I would send that back and demand they replace the rabbit food with a pile of crisps....and bring a small pot of pickle...you have to teach these savages!

What's wrong with a crisp sandwich? As for "a small pot of pickle", that reminded me of the American way of serving sandwiches, with a large hunk of pickled cucumber and "chips". Why, oh why, do Americans not put butter on the bread for their sandwiches? They always taste unpleasantly dry and unappetising. (The sandwiches, not the Americans.) For that matter, why do Americans sprinkle crackers on their soup? What's wrong with a decent chunk of bread?

For that matter, why do Americans sprinkle crackers on their soup? What's wrong with a decent chunk of bread? Ah yes crisp sandwiches....the student days come back to life! I'm reminded of my local hospital where I learnt how to blow smoke rings at my old mentor and perfected the art of using a breville toastie machine. However my mind drifts to the WRVS shop I used to visit every lunchtime where the rolls would be made to order. These were freshly brought in daily from our best local baker....and topped with some corned beef and tomato...liberal sprinkle of pepper....you only ordered two if you had missed breakfast as these ladies had clearly worked in construction during the war. If you ordered two comments would be made about needing to fatten you up....it was like visiting your granny's kitchen every lunchtime. These cost the princely sum of 44p (circa 1994). Fast forward to the late 90's and I was in there visiting a relative and decided to pay them a visit.....well gone was the busy lunchtime queue and the sandwich line to be replaced by a bunch of limp looking pre-packaged crap on sale for £2.50 each. The sandwich is dead folks....I mourn it....hell we should have a day of remembrance for this....and so many other things. And on that note let us not forget the more important remembrance day we have today. Have a great day everyone.

The refinement of crisp sandwiches was the adding of the nearest source of ''brown sauce '' in my youth.

Quiche, isnt that just poncified bacon and eggs? I have been known to eat it with a plate of chips and baked beans, not forgetting the HP sauce.

Quiche...or flan as my mum would rightly call it is bacon, eggs and pastry.
FFS what's not to like about that?
Call it bacon and egg pie and its a different story.
