Spiders don't freak me out, my boys had a defanged pet tarantula, unfortunately it died. It lived in a glass fishtank and Lola was spraying the living room for mosquitoes and poisoned it. We have since got another one. I enjoy sitting on the sofa playing Minecraft PS4 and having him run up my arm, it tickles. I used to have a pet scorpion, which we fed on all types of insects. It was kept in a small glass tank which was kept on the garden table and we used to pay the local kids 5 Baht for each cockroach that they caught for it. We had to go away for a few days, so we told the local kids to keep it fed on cockroaches and I would pay them when we got back. Got home to find a small tank with about 30 cockroaches and the exoskeleton of the scorpion. They had put so many cockroaches in the tank that the scorpion stood no chance in a fight, the roaches killed it and ate out it's insides.

Scorpions are insane things. Eaten by roaches gawd that freaks me out it does Tony, that would be my greatest phobia.
We also had a couple of defanged scorpions, I was driving my boys to school and the youngest who was five had them in a jar to take to show & tell. He opened the lid to play with them as we were stuck in the Lion's Head tunnel in a traffic jam. They were in the back so I wasn't watching them next thing both boys are shouting 'mum they got away' couldn't pull over either. The things hid in the car, when I parked to go to work didn't have time to look for them. Later that day when I was driving home one of the little b%&&$s jumped on my foot, nearly ran off the road.
Needless to say when we found the other other they were both relocated over the fence in the Wong's azaleas.

Is this the phobia thread?
I have the Doc Martin phobia, hemophobia, well under control now.
It is not the fear of blood, but the fear of others seeing me turning pale and fainting.
The fear of the fear.
When I was young it totally debilitated me, afraid of any place I might see blood or fake blood. Really hard as I was working in theatre and certain scenes I just went and hid.
It got so bad that I literally could not work or go outside.
When alone, no problem, the fear of showing my fear, double phobia.
I still have it, but like Doc Martin, can cope and hide it.
In an emergency situation it disappears until after. Then I might throw up.
The latest halloween trend of gore in extreme would have freaked me long ago and still I would be very uncomfortable.
Quit a teaching post in Bangkok over their stupid indulgence of extreme gore in the name of having fun. Some kids for sure were not seeing the fun of it.
Told you, not a real man.
