The Falkirk Wheel, fabulous piece of engineering. And rather aesthetically pleasing on the eye. If it were me on one of the boats the water would definitely turn a shade of brown,

I live in a city with some outstanding old and modern architecture - and places like Edinburgh are outstanding. I wander the streets with my eyes looking up at the detail builders of the past put together. The Forth Rail Bridge is a fave, partly because of the feat of engineering that it was - Another fave. strangely, is the Glasgow Necropolis - Confused; is Glagow Necropolis a building?
Best architecture for me has to be Venice.
See Venice and die.
The place is absurd, should not exist; built on piles of rotting wood in a lagoon. That in itself defies logic.
Is that why back in days were ladies had to leave home to enjoy themselves they went to Venice. To get wood. I thought it was the culture.
