Some excerpts from his recent autobiography - CARY GRANT WAS STINGY "Cary Grant had the reputation of being a little tight with a dollar," says Reynolds. "When I was at Universal doing Riverboat, his dressing room, the biggest on the lot, was across the street from mine. Every day when the mail arrived, he'd come out and hold the envelopes up to the sun. If the contained money (from fans sending him a few bucks in cash to cover postage for an autographed picture), he'd take it out, put it in his pocked, and throw the rest away." ............................. Reynolds says of working with singer Dolly Parton on The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas in 1982, that "Dolly is very self-deprecating, at least in public". Ouch. He says he liked her body when it was "zaftig" (which is a Yiddish word for a plump and sexually attractive woman). .............. continues - www.telegraph.co.uk/film/movie-news/burt-reynolds-james-bond/
