A Mt Eden man has been sentenced to detention and a company fined $75,000 for bringing 1200 raw pork sausages into the country.
Chaiwat Kangsathien, 40, of Mt Eden was sentenced in Auckland District Court last week to 10 months home detention under the Biosecurity Act for importing raw pork sausages from Thailand, which pose a risk of introducing foot-and-mouth disease to New Zealand.......continues
