All I can say is I hope Naam and Paddy have been saving their pocket money, as we wouldn't like to lose them. Extracts and link below: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bond traders warn of foreigner withdrawal Fed rate hike could spur exit from market 9 Apr 2015 at 06:00 NEWSPAPER SECTION: BUSINESS | WRITER: NUNTAWUN POLKUAMDEE The Finance Ministry... The Finance Ministry must be prepared for a new exodus of foreigners from the Thai bond market once the US Federal Reserve starts normalising its interest rate, even using Treasury reserves if capital outflows accelerate... A US rate hike would prompt foreign investors to swiftly cash out of the bond market and the yield curve would then increase, TBMA president Tada Phutthitada said, adding that the abrupt rise in the yield curve would deliver losses to mutual funds and insurers with bond exposure... Treasury reserves and the 400-billion-baht demand for government bonds should be a sufficient cushion against potential capital outflows, he said. At the end of February, Treasury reserves stood at 183... I must admit I wasn't aware foreigners even owned a big portion of the Thai govt bond market. But I hope they do because maybe they might indeed get spooked and create a buying opportunity. Cant imagine the FOMC doing enough to cause any kind of real volatility though, they are clearly frightened of their own shadows. In fact, frightened of the shadow of their shadow. Hope they do though, I like buying stuff from distressed sellers.

....is it a bird...is it a plane....is it superman...no.....its "some Polish fellow".... Does anyone know the Polish word for pikey, spoke to my parents the other day, some polak types knocked the door and offered to re tarmac the driveway, mentioned something about loose tiles, the accent was way too heavy for my parents to understand. My mother though they might have been selling clothes pegs or lucky heather. Have offered to send the Bang Kaew over to the Uk to sort these types out, can a Bang Kaew live on Uk food?
