Yup, I got the middle class income but not the middle class "desires" and mindset.
I just can't do it.
I live on site where I work in a box. I drive a 13 year old VW with familiar creaks and squeaks. I wear raggy clothes. The only expensive stuff I've got is a bit of tog gear.
Made sure the kids are okay with decent homes and schools (insofar as that is possible in LOS) and good everything else, but for myself I'm totally disinterested in any sort of regular lifestyle. Bores me up my wronghole.

When I moved to Bangkok, I lived in gated community (close to moo banh Nakkila). Ah the serenity, ah the bliss.. argh the boring middle class people. I have noticed my own tendency to drop to the middle class. It's easy just to follow the rules set by others. It's a trap! It's a trap!!
I could not care less what other people think about my home, car, outfit etc. Those are all things what I don't value on other people. I do value the minds of the people I meet. How they think, even more than what they think. What they think can be teached - how not so easily. That's the personality.

When I moved to Bangkok, I lived in gated community (close to moo banh Nakkila). Ah the serenity, ah the bliss.. argh the boring middle class people. In Columbia you could always do what others do that have no money left. Take someone else's.

Depends if we have a hostage situation!
I have been to Columbia and love it, the women make these stick insects look sick.
Overall nice people, til you meet a wrong un......which is a big risk you take.
