Recently found an Indian Vegetarian hole in the wall buffet restaurant down an alley in the jewellery district with a mate of mine and it was great.
I often eat alone and would like a few suggestions, buffets are okay however I'm on a diet these days and I can't control my naan bread intake at those establishments.
Tips and advice please.

Sunday buffet at Indus....you only need to go twice a year to satisfy yourself.
Trust me after three hours there you will hate Indian food for six months.....the tandoori broccoli is not to be missed.
Stop at Hemingways on the way back to Suk and enjoy some live music.

Indian food in Thailand - will there ever be an end to this madness ? nahhh the madness won't go away, next week I'll probably be on the hunt for other exotic food. My mates including a few Thais I've introduced Indian food too love the variety and quality of some of the dishes served. It's one of the highlights living in Bangkok, I can get food from almost every corner of the planet around town.

Mrs Balbir's on Sukhumvit 11/1 is probably the best all-rounder, serving decent and affordable food, although the best Indian food I've had is probably Rang Mahal at the Rembrandt hotel, which also has a great view over the city from its 20-odd floor location. It's quite pricey though. Dosa King on Sukhumvit 11 is also good, vegetarian only though and no alcohol.

The samosa stall in Little India....then the top floor of the wee mall with its food court for dosas....those are sooooo good!
For cheap Indian food you won't find better anywhere in Bangkok!

What would be described as 'pricey' ? A meal for 2 at Rang Mahal likely 1500 Baht or more.

Yeah... there's another very flash place on Sukhumvit 38 in the Face complex which would cost even more I think. Then you've got Gaggan on Langsuan which is probably the swankiest of the lot and was voted number 1 restaurant in Asia in a recent poll. I've not yet been to either but Gaggan is definitely on my must-visit list.

There is also Masala Art on Thonglor which has a decent lunchtime deal....avoid the very cheapest one though...I didn't like the chicken....the fish option is good.

I ate a good Indian at Holiday Inn (Suk 22, top floor). The restaurant name is Maya. Since it is a hotel it is a bit expensive, but they do have brunch deals.

I've tried many Indian restaurants in Thailand, and can honestly say that the only good one I have eaten in the last five years was in Cambodia.
