A dead bore.
No offence to anyone but what is all this? The history, the cooking forum, the travel blogs etc etc. not much there.
The way the chat was divvied up was very nice.
What is behind this? Terrible.

Give it a chance - expect to see 50 new topics a day being started between the news and all the other forums except pub.

It was changed to reflect the fact some of us couldn't find what we were looking for mainly...others had no idea where to post content. A streamlining...we'll see how it goes. Always welcome criticism good or bad and at this time ideas are welcome as is patience. I hope you have all your Xmas shopping done BTW  ! |

To add a News forum with specific instructions of how to post there and limits of discussions and closing the pubs that were closed is not productive. |

The life of a forum is the pub, the news is where every troll and his dog will have a go. Not everyone is into 'news'. Anyway, carry on. From past experience it kills a forum. |

People were complaining about the pub set up. It's been streamlined to aid people find what they were looking for. It was made clear thst the new news forum would not be allowed to degenerate into clickbait. No one here wants to see a milion Israel/gun control/red shirt threads. Post news in the relevant news section - post comment, humour etc in the pub. Easy. |

New forums always seem to do the same thing - several dozen subforums even through there's only a handful of posts a day. Plenty of room for tumbleweed.

I agrre with that - and it's disappointing at times to sign on and see that there's been no activity on the forum. This is an attempt to ensure that there will be a steady flow of new content of the forum every day. While not every new topic will be of great interest, hopefully some will be of value to the membership. |
