I finally got around to change the default setting of my gmail account to English rather than the American version. An unexpected side effect was having the 'trash' renamed to 'bin'. Now I wonder what else will have another name.
Mind you, this difference between the English(UK) and English(USA) versions is not new. A quick search found a note from February 2008 with people wondering.
