Anonymous hacks Thai police websites to protest Myanmar workers' death penaltieswww.smh.com.au/it-pro/security-it/anonymous-hacks-thai-police-websites-to-protest-myanmar-workers-death-penalties-20160106-gm0pk2.htmlBangkok: Hackers have attacked Thai police websites in protest the trial of two Myanmar migrant workers sentenced to death last month for the murders of two British tourists. The international hacking group Anonymous said on its Facebook page that 14 Thai police websites had been attacked. Of those it listed, nine were inaccessible on Tuesday. Police confirmed the attack on its websites but said there was no confidential data on the public websites. In a 37-minute video posted on the Anonymous Facebook page on Sunday, a masked person questioned the competency of the Thai police force and its handling of this and other cases.

"They're not good enough to hack into our system and steal any of our data," police spokesman Dechnarong Suthicharnbancha said.
News for him, yes they are.

Perhaps the venerable spokesman might do well to remember or be advised of the following facts.
No matter how good any system may be, just bear in mind all the programmes are designed and the input is done by a ''HUMAN BEING.''
So being as ''HUMAN BEINGS '' have logic and can think independently unlike computers that respond to your, or our keyboard taps, all systems and programmes are vulnerable.
Just cast ones mind back to the Enigma system.

There is a certain forum run by a bunch of clowns who have broken every freedom of speech law, censoring posts and banning users who post in the name of transparency and justice. May drop these Anonymous chaps a line or three bringing to light these shameful crimes, some of us have screenshots of deleted posts about criminals etc.

Narcotics Anonymous, actually why in all these 'anonymous' support groups you apparently have to stand up and introduce yourself? That's hardly anonymous if everyone knows you

That's hardly anonymous if everyone knows you There's 2 parts to anonymous. The activists who go on protest marches, and the hackers. Anyone can join the protesters, the hackers are another thing. They need to remain anonymous.

There was a genuine reason for the hack.
It's due to the murders on koh tao and Hanna's sister Laura voicing her opinion of the Thai justice system, who are trying to press charges against her.
Drumsticks site reports on it and also another farang murder there from xmas time.
