Icouldn't produce my drivers licence so the policeman said I would have to go pay a 400 baht fine.
Then he said that he could pay the fine for me if I give him only 200 baht.
He's a very nice man.

Mate of mine always keeps 400 baht in his ashtray for that situation. His logic is just incase I've only got a 1000 on me, they won't have change.

Wow, what a coincidence, I have met this very same policeman. Years ago was driving on Lat Prao, cracked a U turn instead of going straight on and doing a u turn and coming back. Pulled over, usual crap, where are you going, Big C Lat Prao, no problem, on you go. Anyone who knows Big C on Lat Prao knows what I am talking about, heck Somchai even gave the mrs a wai and a chok dee.

Endless corruption supported by the community and encouraged by people who I notice haven't bought me a beer today.
I condemn you all.

Years ago was being chauffeured back from Dino snooker at Klong Tan, via Pattanakarn in a Merc. Pulled over, etc etc blah blah blah. What I deduced was, Army trumps Sgt Somchai plod every time. One of the most hair raising driving experiences of my life, this idiot was going through red lights at at least 100 km/ph. Good old Ai Boo, what a lad, gave the yam at the condo shyt for not having the barrier raised, .
