Warning contains scenery of an idiot in a truck turning a corner with no regard whatsoever who is in his path
I don't normally watch videos of this nature but it just sums up asia as a whole and its shockingly bad drivers.

Watched - for anyone else intending watching the video the car turns and parks. A couple of seconds later a truck turns left and wipes out two people on a motorcycle who were intending to drive straight on. The truck wheels go over both of them, killing them both.
The video is not graphic per se, it is disturbing as to how quickly and easily people can be wiped out by stupidity.

This is the very reason I refuse to drive a motorcycle here.
Those idiot mini bus drivers are the worst of the lot.
I dread to think whats going through the minds of the passengers as Somchai shows off his driving skills fuelled by yaba.

I rode bikes for years in Blighty, not out of need but because I loved riding. About 16 years ago I had a CB650 here but it was so much hard work to drive because i would be watching the roads too much and second guessing Somchai's moves all the time, so I sold it after about 1 year. Also I was a great target (as all motorbike riders are) of the boys in brown on SriNakarin Rd. No enjoyment at all in negotiating Thailand's roads on 2 wheels.

About 16 years ago I had a CB650 here <snip> I also had a CB650, black with gold pin-striping from memory, bog standard. Maybe a few more years ago then 16, back when I lived in the UK. Heavy sucker to pick-up by yourself. A car nudged it off it's side stand, was on a slight incline and could only lift against the angle ... took me 3 goes from memory. Smooth ride though, no stress.

The bike was passing in an unsafe manner. Zooming around slower moving large vehicles on the shoulder of the road is not a good idea.
When I'm around an elephant, I do not dash back and forth between his legs as he's walking.
Also the video doesn't show if the truck driver stopped or not. It just ends right after they've been hit, which suggests that some editing was done.
There's a good chance he had no idea anybody was injured.
Instead of "Brutal Hit and Run" this should be titled "Idiot Motorcyclist Gets Himself and Passenger Killed".

^^^ not going to disagree with you, call it what you want, the sad truth is, for those who drive on Thai roads everyday, we see it everday.
I have now become desensitised to it all, I have seen some horrors in Thailand.
A public bus going over the head of some poor guy whose brains were spread all over the road, bus drove on. Some poor guy whose brains were spread all over the highway to Pattaya, they didnt even have the decency to take off their shirt and cover the poor guys head. Mrs speewed up all over the front of the car, cost me a small fortune to have the car valeted.
Live for the moment, magic sak yant and amulets dont help, never mind, not my culture not my ploblem.
