First I bought a Lazyboy office chair. Then the 34 inch 21-9 curved monitor which came today 3440x1440. The movies look great. And it looks like I'm working at my desk 555. Attachment Deleted Attachment Deleted

How much was the lady? Or is that you? She was there for size comparison. Not mine. Me? No. I'm an old guy who likes soft chairs and big screen monitors (so I don't need my glasses).

^^^ Same here regarding screens and I still need to use Ctrl + when browsing, could do with a new chair this cheap PVC one smells of ball sweat, maybe I could auction it on a fetish site or something.
You'd be able to comfortably have 2 browser windows open side by side at that resolution

Great setup, something I want too the curved screen. That chair does it lean back? I have something similar, leaned back too far and went arse over tits, at work too.

The control on the other side of the chair is height. The chair is made for a tall guy. When my wife sits in it her feet are 3 inches off the ground. In the back of the monitor are two hdmi ports, one display port, headphone jack and two USB 3 downstream and one upstream port. Only thing odd so far is the two USB ports will only work to charge something (phone or control) one at a time. Right one works and the left one works but not at the same time. I have no idea why. Also the screen will split into 1,2,3 or 4 parts if the pc is plugged in with hdmi (you get a menu) if with display port no menu still works but no menu only clicking icon.

Uncle James had one and his cat always peed in it, probably to cover up the er sweaty smell.

Too funny. I have some questions about my new monitor so I called USA support. They don't have a clue. If I do get an answer it's wrong. So I tried to call Thai LG support this morning. Now that is funny. My trying to explain in Thai how to boot Win7. The LG monitor boots direct to Win7 not allowing an F8 press to get the the BIOS. Now that is F'd up.
I know it is an LG problem and the monitor is not compatible with Windows. What a hoot. 30,000 baht and it's not compatible with Windows. They also advertise it as a gaming monitor but it's not compatible with PS3. Too funny.
So, I'm telling them monitor is not compatible with Win7 or gaming. This in broken my Thai and English. Now they are going to have a guy call me back. They offered a tech visit but I don't want to wait all day on some technician and my wife is getting upset with me for spending so much on a monitor that has problems. "Come to bed" "I'm on a chat line with tech people from America and it's morning there honey, I'll be to bed in a minute" "But I'm freezing it's cold here - come to bed now."

It's nothing to do with windows.
F8 is normally the menu for the boot options are you sure that is the right key?
Try delete, and just keep tapping it as soon as you here the beep on power up.
Also do you have any other displays plugged in?
Are you using discrete (GPU) or integrated graphics (CPU)?

Also do you have any other displays plugged in? Are you using discrete (GPU) or integrated graphics (CPU)? Integrated Intel® graphics. I fixed it. Used LG HDMI cable with displayport adapter and that worked. Then I hooked up the displayport cable again and it decided to start working. I had three new HDMI cables that didn't work but the LG HDMI cable worked for the PS3. Before I did this I also restored the computer to about a month ago avoiding a Windows update. Don't know what I did. Everything is working in ultra wide screen (21-9) wonderfulness now even my Gran Tourismo 6. Now I have the PS3 and the Displayport plugged in but not the TV in the living room which I use to watch Kodi movies with the family. Now I need another desk to fit all of this stuff in. Now on my opening screen I get AOME restore and Windows repair options - which is what I wanted.

Glad you got it sorted.
I asked because on mine if I have a 2nd or 3rd display plugged in (DVI>VGA) the BIOS screen for some reason gets put on the DVI outputs and is not visible on the HDMI even if the other monitors are switched off.

That may have been what happened. There is one displayport, 2 HDMI, 2 thunderbolt and 3 usb 3.0 and one usb up in the monitor. Seems with all those plugs they would expect them to be used. There is a joystick on the monitor that you switch inputs with and a dual computer program because you can run two computers to the one monitor and six screens. Attachment Deleted

Aha you are correct. I turned on the TV in the living room and it was booting the first screen to the TV and then back to the monitor so I can enter my password. It makes no sense because like you said it will do that if the TV is turned on or off. I control the TV from my computer control panel and have the display turned off. Now I understand. Now I also have the PS3 hooked in and it's using the monitors speakers (plug and play) and I got 21-9 widescreen race courses. Also if you don't switch back to the normal mode for the PC the bottom line task bar disappears. Which caused me no end of grief because I thought a keyboard command had made it go away but no It was there just I couldn't see it.
