Just discovered how seriously screwed my hearing actually is, and with that I will be seeking a solicitor and pressing charges.

My hearing stops at 10.5 - 11 KHz

I have tinnitus due to the workplace, just never realised my hearing loss was that bad.

Claim and an extra long holiday, fingers crossed.

Gee sorry about that. I've actually decided to buy based on another reason. With Sony's H ear I think I can make and receive a clear call while riding a song tau in addition to them being a decent headphone. They are the replacement for the MDR1a's I was first interested in. I went to the mall on Sunday and tried them out.

I bought the headphones yesterday.

Titanium-coated 40mm drivers
5Hz - 60kHz frequency response
103dB/mW sensitivity
24 Ohm impedance
4-pole TRRS (balanced compatible) 3.5mm removable cable

I can use them plugged into my phone, pc or handset. The handset makes them bluetooth and the music is stopped when a call comes in.

Then my wife wanted to try them. She can't figure out why I bought the black ones instead of pink or orange.

I now have two matching Sony products that I will couple with the new Xperia when it comes out in a month or so. I'm going to give the wife my Galaxy S5 after a factory reset.
