A nunnery school, convent it is named.
Opposite some dwellings.
Each one room, an open sewer releases the water.
There some of the workers of patpong sleep.
You will never see it, I doubt.
My wife's adopted brother ended up there.

Child of a war in Nam.
Adopted by the family.

No, not haunting .Hatred was too strong a word.We had a falling out, my fault, but their were consequences.I removed myself from any contact, never stated why, my sins.
In another's terminology he was a pikey.
What else could he be?
No Thai identity,no identity card, no education, no identity card, only available employment in the underworld,no identity card, a pimp in Patpong.
I was ensured safety there with his connections.
He abused my friendship,and all who tried to get him out of the mess. Drugs, drink and all.
Aunt used her connections to get him Thai nationality.
Sold his card to buy drugs.
The pit he was in determined by birth.Black ,illegitimate, son of a whore.
We were friends once, he was a faithful brother to my wife,but not true enough.
No, does not haunt me.
Serendipity, as I was writing, mother in law phoned, would I go with them on a family outing tomorrow?
I agreed to end the self imposed isolation. The row was over a year ago

Plenty of ladyboys on the wildside of patpong.
You need more imagination.
The song is indeed about one aspect of the wild side.
I think it has broader references, but that is my interpretation.

Having sex with ladyboys is wild and that's always been my experience. The ladyboy in the song is asking a customer to have sex with a transvestite implying that is wild. |

And before anyone comments above video is tame, sure. To video in said areas is likely to cause you serious injuries. Such a a video would not be on youtube. My point, if it needs reinforcing,is the "wild side" refers to much more than ladyboys. Warhol might well have intended to shock with amongst the first explicit references to trans gender in pop culture, but the wild side was not limited to sexuality. In essence it might have been, but thats a can of worms, campbells.  |
