Going back at the end of May for 3 months and when I'm there I love it! I go to a small village that has all my needs and lovely, friendly people plus of course family. I suppose those who never would return must have had bad experiences or only lived in places that now speak a different language.

Porthcurno is nice and also a nice drive from Penzance, but it's too busy for my liking, my tip is walk round them rocks you see in the photo.
There's another beach that will have 10 people on it max.
Crantock is alright aswell.

Jimmy you are very right, plus of course what is also great is a summer evenings performance at the Minack with a picnic - although you have to hope the weather is okay. I hadn't been down there for a while, until lat year and the weather on that day was absolutely perfect, and took a nice long walk along the coast.
I really love the coastal footpaths around Cornwall, as it is stunning, but then you just got to hope the weather is good.
As for Cowdenbeath, no thanks!!
Only another 10 weeks now

Only another 10 weeks now heh heh....OK I suggest a walk and row around Loch Lomond....on a fine day that is a true joy. You got to get lucky in May though....else its full of bloody English on their holidays.

Love the long summer days, cricket and then sitting around in the clubhouse having a cold one, talking about the day
