Starting December - ..................................................... Qatar Airways has announced more than a dozen new routes, including a non-stop service from Auckland, New Zealand to Doha claimed to be the world's longest flight. The announcement follows the launch of Emirates’ 17-hour-15-minute service from Auckland to Dubai using a long-range version of the Boeing 777-200 this month. The new daily service will start on December 3 and take the mantle of the world’s longest flight at 18 hours, the airline said. Qatar will link with Oneworld member American Airlines, which plans to launch a San Francisco-Auckland service from June. Airline chief executive Akbar Al Baker said a further 13 destinations in Asia, Africa and Europe will be added to the airline’s global network in the next two years. These include Krabi and Chiang Mai,Thailand (December), Pisa, Italy (August 2), Sarajevo, Bosnia (September 7), Helsinki, Finland (October 10), Skopje, Macedonia (November) and Nice, France (summer 2017). www.gulfbusiness.com/articles/industry/aviation/qatar-airways-announces-14-new-routes-claims-world-s-longest-flight-via-auckland/

I've noticed that with the Mid-East carriers - now asking as much as £2500. I think Turkish Airlines were doing a biz class deal from Edinburgh recently for about £1200 - and they are a good airline. Giant difference in price.

Giant difference in price. Oil prices are in their boots and the cost of champagne hasn't risen. I'll stick to finding the deals.

Well this will ge good, hopefully a couple more airlines will have direct flights into CM. Really could do with a Manila direct flight, as well as a Phnom Penh one as having to go through BKK is a pain in the ass.
