Of Bangkok Bank in Bangkok - the place is polluted with every other bank you can think of, but BKK Bank? no.
I think someone was pulling our legs calling it Bangkok Bank.

Back when I lost my ATM card from them. Took five bloody hours, 5 my gawd to get another one and had to wait a week.
They wanted proof of everything which is ok, but the slowness was something else. How people deal with banks in Thailand without going nuts is beyond me.

Cheque from a joint name account comes in, cant pay it into my bank account. Have to p**s around opening a new joint name account. Then get in line and withdraw all the money in cash. Then get back in line and deposit all the cash into my account. |

My story. I went to Malay for a visa run before my work permit came through. Penang.
I had BKK Bank as they paid me the salary in there but guess what, the card was dead in Malaysia. So Ok, I had enough cash and USD but I didn't want to dip into Aussie banks as that burns you the rates....anyway. I got back to BKK and the card was cancelled. Now why was it cancelled? I told them I was going to Penang..No sorry miss, card cancelled...ok I want another card.
I'm not dissing them here as sure things have changed but back then it was a nightmare. Called my friend Air to talk to the bank guy as the whole process was something else.

Even the drivers were amazed at how few branches of BKK Bank were on the street - one of them started laughing cos he had he had driven 15 clicks from Sai Tai Mai station twoards Suk without seeing one. If your contention is that there's plenty in the shopping centres then good on you - what's the use of that to a guy drivng past on the street? |

Why so agressive ?... i live in a one horse town and there are 3 branches of BKK bank within 3km of my place and at least 12 Atms attached to those branches, with respect to the big smoke itself (BKK) in 15 years cant remember struggling to find a branch of BKK bank I wouldnt call you a retard,( even though you like to refer to peoples spouses as retards) but if you wish to refer to yourself as a retard who am i to stop you ? |
