You got to be joking they are everywhere and one of the few where you can still pull more than 20k (25k) out in one hit... And krungsiri you can still pull 30k in one hit I've got to be joking? so I'm a retard that can't use my eyes, as were the taxi drivers I was with? Even the drivers were amazed at how few branches of BKK Bank were on the street - one of them started laughing cos he had he had driven 15 clicks from Sai Tai Mai station twoards Suk without seeing one. If your contention is that there's plenty in the shopping centres then good on you - what's the use of that to a guy drivng past on the street? You didnae phone me and ask. Just sayin'.... The one at Central Phra Ram 9 is on the fifth floor...on the sixth is a food court with a cracking Krapow Moo for 60 Baht. Ask and ye shall receive! |

Is that the fifth floor just next to where the taxi passes ffs? Anyway, it doesn't matter - I'll just open accounts with Krungsi and Krungsthai - they seem to have plenty branches and they even put them in places where they can be seen. The situation is even worse here in Pattaya.... BKK machines are as rare as rocking horse poo. My salary is only paid into the BKK bank account and the ATM card I have has a chip and can only be used at their machines. There are K Bank ATMs galore but not BKK bank.

You can be a proper wee whiner when the mood takes you blether. It must be the thought of work....hee hee..... Observing is not whining - so telling me there's a branch on the fifth floor next to starbucks deserves the observation that's no use when you are in a taxi. tolsti - yes, I've noticed that there aren't a lot of ATM's around too. I detest usng ATM's in Thailand - one of my pals lost half a million baht due to skimming and the bank wouldn't refund. That's the primary reason why I do my banking in branch. ANd every time I do go to use an ATM ( rare these days ) there seems to be someone hanging about it. I noticed a young lady hanging about the ATM's at my local branch the night before I left CM. As I approached, she suddenly found reason to mess about with one of the machines. I about turned, deciding I'd go back in the morning. When I went back in the morning ( I was flying before the bank branch opened ) she was sitting with an older guy with a motorbike. I drove past, circled round, and came back. Only when I parked my bike did she get off hers to approach the machines. Again, I didn't bother - and that was what caused me to be strapped for cash when my cards were blocked by the UK bank. |

Next time you'll know to ask me before you get in a taxi. Phra Ram 9 is two stops on the MRT from Asoke...about ten minutes to get to the bank. Yer an eejit...just sayin'...  |
