Came across this video on YouTube, thought I would share it with you. Apparently these Chinese tourists were at a hotel buffet in Chiang Mai, all you can eat prawns etc. They went into a feeding frenzy which reminded me of the sharks that used to follow the prawn trawler I worked on in Australia, eating all the fish we pushed over the side. The tourists were pushing each other out the way and actually scooping up the prawns with dishes and carrying them back to the table stacked 2 or 3 dishes high. Full story here on Shanghaist website - shanghaiist.com/2016/03/19/thai_media_slams_greedy_tourists.phpThere was a story on that site about a Chinese guy who went to a seafood restaurant in Qingdao and was charged 1,520 yuan for a plate of 40 prawns, that's 38 yuan each, or about $7.70 in Aussie dollars. No wonder they go crazy over all-you-can-eat prawns for a set price. This story reminds me of the time I was in Danang in Vietnam and I took a friend of mine and his wife and kids out for dinner, to a seafood restaurant. The diners threw all their prawn and crab shells etc on the floor as they were eating and when they left the waitress moved the chairs out the way and swept all the crap into a heap and scooped it into a rubbish bin. I could not believe the mess on the floor. Got funny looks when I asked for something to put the scraps in.

The final straw or rather the final wafer, a fine ''period'' piece!!
No doubt a training film for Chinese tourist to assist them in the art of food consumption when in foreign countries and to prepare them in the fine arts of descending on hotel and restaurant buffets etc

Chinese in mass groups are maniacs and have no manners whatsoever. I walk into a store like H&M here and hate it. I"m use to Chinese people walking into me, in front of me and not even looking twice. They make a mess of all the clothes and generally don't give a shit. I know how Chinese are as they will push you, cut in front of you and generally spit on your shoes at times. I am not surprised to see this episode. Greedy and dirty it looks like in this scene.

I could not do much about it when I was in China but when in another country like Thailand I do try to avoid them when they are in large groups.
My wife and I were in a pharmacy in Chiang Rai years ago when it was invaded by a large mob of them, it was quite scary, they were in a buying frenzy and looked dangerous.
Restaurants are another place to avoid them, it can get a bit messy.
