Chinese Airline Books Stranded Passengers Into A Sex Hotel

Who says that the airlines don’t care about their passengers anymore? Sure, the excessive baggage fees are one thing, along with the increasingly limited free food and drink options, but based on the actions taken by Hainan Airlines earlier this month, there can be no question about how focused the airlines are about making their passengers happy. Nothing says thanks for flying with us better than putting two strangers into the same room at a sex hotel.
Valentine’s Day is big business in China, just like so many other countries. Hotels are booked weeks, if not months, in advance. This is usually a problem for would-be lovers who wait too long to secure a spot for a getaway. For a representative at Hainan Airlines, however, finding a hotel for two passengers whose flight was canceled on the holiday proved to be a lesson in embarrassment.
An 8:40pm Hainan Airlines flight from Chongqing City to Hangzhou on Valentine’s Day was supposed to have some turbulence with storms to the south of its intended flight path. But then the weather changed and the flight was delayed until 11:10pm. Within a few hours it was clear that the flight wasn’t going to happen and had to be rescheduled for 3pm the next day, February 15. The airline offered all the passengers complimentary hotel accommodations for the night as a result of the delay. Two single women, both in their twenties, were told that they would need to share a room.
Must to the surprise of the ladies, when they arrived at their temporary home in Chongqing they learned it was a ‘love hotel.’ The representative who made the reservation for the young women failed to enquire what a ‘themed suite’ included. As the young women quickly learned, the theme of this suite was bondage. A red leather bed was accented with a red leather sex chair, complete with wrist and ankle straps. There were also handcuffs, whips, chains, and mirrors on the wall to round out the experience. Plus a 27 inch flat screen TV with a full complement of adult videos for purchase. After posting photos of their horrifying stay to Weibo, Hainan Airlines quickly reached out to the two passengers and apologized for the mistake. What a cherished experience.
