Drugs found inside murdered man’s stomach
POLICE say around 60 balls of an unidentified off-white substance were found inside the stomach of a fair-skinned Asian man - stabbed multiple times - whose body was found on Sunday in a large bag in Bangkok’s Klong Ong Ang waste filter.
Institute of Forensic Medicine director Pol MajGeneral Pornchai Suteerakune said Monday they were doing further tests to determine what the balls, each of which weighed 10 to 50 grams, were. It was believed the man may have been a drug runner attempting to smuggle illegal drugs via "body packing" - swallowing the substance in plastic bags or condoms to avoid police detection, he said.
