It is going to be interesting to see how this outcome may which I think it certainly will affect the current campaigns in the U.K. Now is the time perhaps for all the mandarin jobsworth's in that exclusive retarded retired failed and in many case wanna be politicians in the European Parliament to look at the big picture.
Moves must be made to restore confidence (such as it may be) in the European system, the barring of the third and fourth level eastern European economies states who are only trying to join so as their begging bowls are filled and their somewhat less productive labour wise that is as opposed to child wise less worthy citizens can and many have been to date allowed to move into a country or countries with a wonderful welfare system.
Time is coming whether we like it or or whether we will admit and accept that a drastic pruning exercise is going to be needed to ensure the economic, industrial, military along with the cultural and ethnic survival of the individual countries and their peoples within the E.U.
The only alternative course of action is or will have to be the total grubbing out of the E.U.
In my opinion the gentle disintegration of the E.U. is now being seen to begin, soon it will be a frantic scramble to exit and thus destroy the the E.U.
Self inflicted wounds made by those who would not listen to the peoples of the countries within the E.U. and those self same bureaucrats who also refused and still do too to look at the big picture then in the past, now and the projection for the future.
Certainly proves beyond a doubt that, ''there are none so deaf as will not hear, and none so blind as those who will not see.'' sELF

I might be wrong, but I think Cyprus was the last creditor nation to join. And their economy went tits up, when the 1st Greek debt crisis hit, and Cyprus bought much of it. Then the debt was forgiven.

Then the debt was forgiven.
Indeed a generous move by the politicians.
I suppose those generous charitable politicians did ask for approval of that benevolent action from the peoples of the E.U. ?
You know, the ones who pay the taxes if they minded their taxes being diverted to assist a bankrupt state that in the first place should never even been considered for admittance to the E.U. let alone then being welcomed into and accepted with all of its excess baggage of millstone debts into the E.U.
