I was watching the 1999 Mini series re-make of Day of The Triffids earlier.
The central character's father is dying. he is trying to tell his son an important piece of information. The sons says
'Don't try to speak'
Well of course the old dad dies then , doesn't he.
Someone is dying, let him speak FFS!
