New York/Manhattan (where the girlfriend is for the week with two Thai guests). Visit The MET, Central Park during Fall and Ellis Island/Liberty Island (not during the winter months)

Miami/South Florida. Stay on South Beach, Visit Key Biscayne/Cape Florida and go to Key West for a few days. If you have kids do Universal/Orlando and skip Key West

Hawaii (we were there a couple years back for a month, for the most part on The North Shore). Stay on Oahu’s north shore, do all the beaches and just visit Maui

I think I was a bit too harsh on Norwich in my other thread. It's a nicer enough city to be in although it is no longer my 'home'. If I were to give advice to people going overseas for the first time I would encourage them to stay in contact with folks back home.

Had a thought over breakfast: Norfolk has a disproportionate amount of ten pin bowling lanes for such a sparsely populated county. There again, it's the perfect game for your average Norfolkite: heavy objects, loud noises, flashing lights and rules that a Colobus Monkey could grasp.
