Putting suspected criminals behind bars? I thought the Thai way was to let those accused of the most heinous of crimes roam free (or flee to other countries to await the expiry of the statute of limitations) - not put them behind bars, at least, not until they've exhausted all possible appeals. Or is it a case of one law for the rich and the powerful, another for the poor and weak? Still, let's look on the bright side: at least they haven't adopted Thaksin's technique of shoot to kill before establishing guilt or innocence (or, for that matter, even establishing identity).
