No cradle snatching. My wife and myself there's 6 months difference. She's older than me. 40/41. Never ever even as a joke say your wife's getting old. I nearly got my head kicked in for that mistake. What's the Thai word to sum up a Thai women's scorn? |

My dear wife was born in 74 and I in 71. I don't see a lot of these age diffrence relationships here in HK .

Partner is normally reserved for gay people who dont want to say my boyfriend or girlfriend.

We have been together a bit over seven years now and I spent most of the seventh year laid up in hospital 8,000km away so I missed out on the seven year itch but I went through lots of other "ailments" in that time. You notice the people who are in relationships where there is a big age difference seem to dwell on it far less than the people who are not. Does not worry me, not really too concerned what other people think but appreciate their concern.  |

I think massivd age gaps are not really a good thing, there is just too much of a difference in the generational differences, without then throwing in cultural differences.
I would personally not look for a relationship with anyone under 30, or 5 years older than me, and Im 42,

I was sat talking to a bunch of Thai girls late 20s, some farang was talking to one of them on FaceAche, I was translating for them, he is 48, all of them said almost in unison, oh too old. |

Cannot blame a girl from wanting a husband roughly the same age as her, that is human nature. But nature/life throws some funny stuff at you at times, causes you to do things out of the norm. My mother and father in law in Surin are the same age difference as my wife and I, about 22 years. His first wife died when they were about 40 and as soon as the accepted mourning period was over the old crones in the village produced a young lady of 18 and said he had to have a wife, this one will do nicely ! |
