Yet another one of the political dinosaurs has slipped away this morning to a deceased dinosaurs breakfast appointment with his fellow creatures. Banharn Silpa-archa couldn't slip away from the Grim Reaper and today (23-04-2016) he fell off of his perch at around 06-00 hrs this morning . An interesting creature who certainly served himself well while ruining the running the country when he was an M.P. and later a government minister(s) and finally he was ''a named Prime Minister.'' Never spoke well of it and its ilk when it existed. Not changing my views now that would be hypocritical and align me to the greater majority of multi faceted politicians here and elsewhere.  |

Nobody is suggesting you change your views. However, sometimes it's better to hold one's tongue to avoid gratuitous offence. Edit: And yes, I was offended by your original post, as I am by your use of "it" above. You may not like the man, and I am not a fan, but he was still a human being, as are his grieving relatives. |

The thing spoken of was a corrupt self serving creature who happily diverted funds intended to alleviate the suffering of the less well off members in society to fund his personal lifestyle and empire building.
He abused the human race, he never could earn respect.In my eyes he and his family and their ilk never had respect nor ever will.
I stand by my statement, however I am sorry that your sensitivity has been offended.Just like those who lost out due to his diversion of funds and ''creative accounting practices.
Look at the two most popular names it had ''slippery eel and Mr. Mobile ATM", due to the fact he bought the loyalty of political associates in exchange for money.
It also if you cast your memory back had its loyalty bought by a creature who is a well known on the run bail jumping puppet master too.

Khun Banharn may be mourned by a few, but let's not forget his many slippery deeds if only to use as example of what such figures do and get away with while getting rich. Lest it get too easy for others to repeat!

I have no respect whatsoever for that politician or many others here and abroad but I do have some respect for the feelings of his relatives not all of whom follow his ways I am sure.
Personally I think we have said enough, Of course revisiting it in a week or so is fair.

I was nor truth be known will ever be renowned for my tactful approach concerning some matters and people types but I do think that the suggestion made is fine. I'll have got it out of my system by then. All a bit like being married in many ways  Pax AYG.  |
