Interesting article regarding soft drinks, sugared and artificially sweetened. Does not really concern me as I went from drinking the occasional coke or pepsi to being a non-drinker of any soft drink. Think I did the right thing and will try to stay on the wagon. Still have a beer or a Guinness now and then but my Irish Father would roll in his grave if I didn't. Heard about a guy in QLD back in the eighties who got so big he was bedridden in his house and they had to cut his front doorway out to be able to get him out of the house and take him to hospital. At his "peak" he was living solely on deep-fried takeouts and 20 ltrs a day of coka-cola ! www.news.com.au/lifestyle/food/drink/diet-debate-why-youre-wasting-your-time-on-sugar-free-alternatives/news-story/40e78b70f22ee31e3bd20b617b0c59c0

Bottled fruit juices are another bad one that gets away with it because people think being fruit means healthy but Apple juice for example contains as much sugar as coke.

^ Correct which is why I stopped drinking that stuff many years ago.
My wife buys oranges and squeezes them herself, our 2 and a half year old son has never taste bottled oj.

Diet or fully leaded coke..same same for me as its the phosphoric acid in it which makes it so "dangereous" coke is actually more acidic than either lemon juice or Vinegar...so imagine what its doing to your guts...carbonated acid
