Reading elsewhere about the cost of a wedding, how much did yours cost?
Mine,10,000 baht.
Mother in law, (bloody brilliant woman) wouldnt spend money on freeloaders.
We bought everything, she and her sisters cooked everything at the house.
Only invited, friends, family and work mates of the mrs.
Mother in law, what a woman,

^^ sounds like your MiL is a keeper.
I am maybe one of the few, if not the only one here ... I've never actually been married. Maybe that's why I usually have a happy demeanor?
Probably will marry my current Lassie as she is the mother of our children. That is, assuming, she wants to get hitched.
Will report back with the wedding costs ... can you wait a couple of years?

10 grand dollars plus rings and some other things. Nothing extravagant we can't justify spending silly amounts on just 1 day. 10k wasn't the budget, it's just what it ended up costing for a good day/night for I suppose 50 guests.
Wasn't married in Thailand.

About 2000 MIL was glad to see her married. They didn't even want a party. Just the Amphr visit and a few drinks and tom yam.

The first wedding party was intimate with only close people there. That's the one we paid for. It's supposed to be a celebration of two people in love after all and we'd only known each other a few months.
The second MIL booked a swanky hotel, thousands of red roses, the whole glitzy thing. No idea what that was apart form overwhelming.

Not sure, paid a lawyer, had a taxi from various places, embassy , amphpor Pratunam and then went back to work. Not much then, but a hell of a lot now.

If you want to know the daughter, first know the mother.
