Central bank prints 70-baht banknotes to celebrate King’s 70th anniversary of accession to the throneThe Bank of Thailand has printed 20 million banknotes of 70-baht denomination to celebrate His Majesty the King’s 70th anniversary of accession to the throne. Central Bank governor Veerathai Santipraphob said that the new banknotes would be allocated to commercial banks for distribution to members of the public who are interested to exchange them for keeping. He believes that 20 million notes are sufficient to meet demand and there will be no additional printing. The banknotes will be available to the public as of June 9 at all commercial banks and state-owned banks such as Government Savings Bank, Bank of Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, Islamic Bank and Government Housing Bank. Each banknote, to be contained in an envelope, can be exchanged at 100 baht each. The governor said that the price difference, altogether 600 million baht for the 20 million banknotes, will be donated to HM the King. englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/content/165338

Is that 2 different notes or just each side if the same note? back and front of same note "According to a press release dated 30 May 2016, on 9 June 2016, the Bank of Thailand will introduce a 70-baht note to commemorate the 70th anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's accession to the throne. 20 million notes are being sold with a leaflet as numismatic products for 100 baht. With a vertical orientation, the note measures 89 x 162 mm. The front of the banknote depicts King Bhumibol Adulyadej in the uniform of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Royal House of Chakra gown with the Most Illustrious Order of the Royal House of Chakri, and the Knight Grand Cordon (Special Class) of the Most Illustrious Order of Chula Chom Klao breast chain. Good luck getting any. Sold out months ago but selling 70b for 100b is a great fund raising exercise.
